• made a page for my header layouts. documentation for the current header is available... it was very tiring. my code is a mess and parsing it again myself is hell LOL

a changelog entry in PARAGRAPH FORM?? who is she?????? i'm just excited about these updates, so please bear with me lol.

first of all: check out the brand new header!!! i finally came up with a design i'm happy with... maybe one of these days i'll write documentation for how i did it, because i will absolutely forget how the next time i want to try it again.

secondly: i'm very happy to launch my intimate little friendlisting, the maisonette! (you can also reach the page by clicking on the little huey keychain on my homepage.) i wanted to find a way to spotlight some of the friends i've gotten to know on the personal web... they are all so talented and fun and kind. not everyone's on there yet, but please check out the sites that are and give them some love. <3

finally: i went crazy yesterday and figured out how to use quartz + add a subdomain... i was inspired by ribonotes and decided to make most of my obsidian vault public as a digital garden of sorts. use case is pending (i have many thoughts, yes, but do i need that many receptacles?), but i'm excited. feel free to check out my new florilegium!

• the florilegium is an entirely separate thing + changes will likely be frequent and hard to track, so i won't be writing updates for it on this changelog. feel free to just stop by as you please!

i have a bunch of smaller updates too:

• revived page: worm shrine!!!! please enjoy my wonderful girl.
• added tim meadows and peter capaldi to my boy wall.
• added a good handful of art to the louie/ruby shrine.
• added one new drawing to the cupid page.
• finished up february's media log. on to march!
• updated the images for maggie and ruby on the heroines page, and also added voiceclaims for most of them.
• archived the scrapbook.

• toybox updated – i've taken advantage of the space a bit more, and added a bunch of new ducktales toys. (scroll way down for them!)
• added two games to the games etc page, and two books (the art of gathering and GTD) to the books page. lots of good media these days!
• added some new images to gpoy, AND added a gpoy section to my music page (read: meicore songs).
• updated the family page!

i was hoping to have more done by the time i updated... i really want to design a new header for the homepage, but i don't have any concrete ideas just yet. better to wait for a concept that really speaks to me rather than commit to something i only half-like.

anyway, here's what has gotten done:

• answered 2 asks!
• updated my media log for january.
• made some changes to the splash and flavors page to clarify my stance on fiction.
• edited the site page with thoughts on copying code + becoming affiliates.
• added a "friend wisdom" section to the homepage – just wanted a place to store quotes from my friends that make me laugh.
• the big one: a new diary entry! i talk about my recent trip to tokyo.

i promise the next update won't take me over a month! happy february and talk to you again soon. thank you as always for visiting hellomei.

this is a day late... i just forgot to commit the changes yesterday, lol.

• some changes to the av, books, and music pages. i moved the logs i had on there to the archive.
• relatedly: i'm preparing a consolidated media log for 2025 so everything's in one place... the skeleton is in place, so it's just a matter of accumulating media!
  • december's in there because i just. wanted to archive my old logs already... i didn't want to wait for december to end to do that... 🥀
  • i have got to play some games.
• ah! i updated my now page.

• new artifact: a list of fandoms. non-exhaustive. it's kinda boring to look at, sorry... but hey, it's just nice to have?
• updates to the piers/milly shrine: art and a milly doc (EXTENSIVE).
• i'm now part of the fandom webring!! yay!!
• added david tennant to the boywall.
• added new danny pics to the misc folder after getting distracted on pinterest.
• big one: i now have one (1) little zine up on here, after spending a few hours raging against eleventy! i'm pleased to present my tiny oc-tober 2024 sketch zine.
  • zine index page to come as i... make more zines. it'll be up by the time i finish this huey one for sure...!

• added a LOT more stuff to the louie/ruby shrine – art, more notes, and some extra subpages.
• new artifact: i did a fan intro meme for posting on the fediverse. :•)
• updated my media pages: av, books, music. i added some new games under the last section too. i have a steam account now, please clap LOL

updates have been kind of sparse this past month or so, huh? but the holidays are coming up soon, and i imagine i'll have a bit of extra time early next year. some things i plan to do include (1) reviving my sketchbook, (2) consolidating the media page into one thing for easy updating, and (3) revamping my homepage header design! thank you as always for visiting hellomei. :•)

• added an artifact under "docs and sheets". it's the external link called "my friends rate my most questionable fictional crushes".
• updates to my danny pudi shrine: updated the watchlog, added a new album (+ new pics to the misc album), and uploaded a new video + more fan edits i like. the brettsarah one... love
• answered an ask!! or i guess started answering it...?
• finally, a new diary entry.

• the big thing: piers + milly oc/canon shrine start! this will likely be my one and only public oc/canon shrine. more stuff about them to come soon :)
  • it's also linked in the heroines page!
• added new art and two sections to the cupid page: relationships and art by friends/fans! i'm very lucky to have had cupid drawn by others...
  • there's also a warning box about the autoplay when you open the page.
• added lazy loading to the acnh art gallery (warning again: the page is 18+). soooo image heavy over there.
• even more louie/ruby art in the freakzone.
• i don't really announce this, but i added some new links under the neighbors section!

• added MORE louie/ruby art lmfao.
• answered an ask about an art request!
• a new weirdweboctober entry: words.
• small additions: added some articles, added to my to-watch list, added new clippings.

• new artifact: third culture turtles, in which i think about the rottmnt ninja turtles and how they are not at home in any of their identities ^__^
• new diary entry! i talk about sleep and my dog.
• added three new pieces of louie/ruby art. just sketches!

• the Big Thing: uploaded all my acnh art. it's very disorganized and could probably have been coded better, but that is fine.
• also made a projects page for silly coding endeavors + a single entry for weird web october.
  • i don't plan on doing all the days! just whatever i feel like whipping up. i might take the opportunity to go through some sunday sites prompts as well.
• changed the legend for my sitemap. i've indicated which links go to pages that are bigger on the inside.
  • also removed the "recently updated" symbol... girl i cannot be assed to add symbols to each link every time i update my site. one day i'll find a more efficient way to do it!
• added one (1) new note to the scrapbook.
• nothing huge, but the changelog is paginated now :•)

• started reinstating my ACNH files – they're in various stages of completion, but the notes page is totally done at least!
• the louie/ruby shrine is finished! i went crazy and just went all in.
  • now i'm wondering if i should start another shrine while i'm at it...
• updated the music, av, and books page with september intake.
