ONE: i must be able to answer "yes" to at least one of the following questions:
- did i get into it in a comprehensive way?
- did i go back to it repeatedly?
- do i have strong opinions about it?
- was it formative/influencial to my way of being?
TWO: i must have interacted with the work on a transformative or social level – made fanworks, thought about making fanworks, looked at fanworks, engaged with other fans (irl/online), tried showing it to friends and family, etc.
things that do not count as fandoms are: one-off ships or blorbos whose source media i don't otherwise care about, things that i liked but could not talk about at length, things i could probably talk about at length but did not move me to do anything really.
