- why do i like miriam despite her also being a ribbon girl? because miriam is cool.
- crasher wake: came home 3x when i was trying to pull for raihan on pokemon masters EX (i got raihan eventually)
- candice was MY whitney when i first played pokemon diamond. girl STOP with the avalanche

back in MY day we called them AAML (ash and misty = love)!!!! i don't know if i'd ship them if i watched the show as an adult, but i still think they're cute. i watched ALL the AMVs.

OK. MAYBE it's also because i like hop but i think they're adorable! i am not immune to childhood friends.

i actually ship raihan with a few different people (piers, leon) but raihan/kabu is the most fun to me bc i want to see him be charmed by this old man.. find that his usual flirty tricks don't work in attracting kabu... kabu not knowing what to make of raihan's flirts... waow
volokari (volo + akari)
there are a lot of volokari flavors i like – so much you can do with them. i particularly like not-long-after postcanons where akari and volo meet (are they weird and tense? is she weirdly forgiving? is he still violent/deranged or resigned to his exile?) AND long-after postcanons where immortal volo finds akari when she returns to present day sinnoh
